A ready-to-run Docker image for OpenClaw, a modern local gateway enabling secure and structured interaction between AI tools and your local environment.

This image installs OpenClaw directly from npm, pins the resolved version at build time, and runs the gateway in a clean, reproducible, and container-friendly setup.

Quick Start

First-Time Setup (Onboarding)

Run the interactive onboarding wizard once:

All configuration is stored in the mounted volume and reused on subsequent runs.

Image Tags & Versioning

This image is published automatically with multiple tags to support different workflows:

• latest – always the newest build
• YYYY-MM-DD – image build date
• YYYY-MM-DD – normalized OpenClaw release date
• YYYY and YYYY-MM – rolling compatibility tags
• <git-sha> – immutable build reference

This allows both strict version pinning and rolling updates.

Persistent Data

The following directory is persisted via Docker volume:

/home/openclaw/.openclaw

It contains authentication data, workspace configuration, and gateway settings.
