Sentinel is a lightweight monitoring solution designed for homelabs and small infrastructure. With automatic agent discovery via mDNS, beautiful real-time dashboards, and minimal configuration, Sentinel makes monitoring effortless.

Quick Start

1. Deploy Dashboard Stack

docker-compose up -d

Access the dashboard at http://localhost:3000

2. Install Agents

Agents run on systems you want to monitor:

Linux (one-line install):

curl -sSL [***] | sudo bash

Download binaries: [***]

Agents automatically appear in the dashboard's discovery scanner!

Dashboard Backend

Environment Variables

Dashboard Backend:

Ports

• 3000 - Web UI (Frontend)
• 8080 - API (Backend)
• 8086 - InfluxDB
• 9100 - Agent metrics endpoint

Metrics Collected

• CPU: Usage %, core count, model
• Memory: Total, used, available, percentage
• Disk: Usage per partition (root by default)
• Network: Real-time bandwidth (upload/download)
• Uptime: System uptime in seconds

Metrics refresh every 5 seconds with 30-second collection intervals.
