First requirements for using this integration are signing up for both the YNAB Developer Program (free) and the SimpleFin API account ($1.50/month or $15/yr). See those sites for information on initial API call walkthroughs.

Once you get your access URL for the SimpleFin API, pull your username and password from the URL:

These will go into the following environment variables for your Docker container:

SimpleFin_UserName
SimpleFin_Password

Put your YNAB PAT into the following environment variable:

YNAB_PAT

The last environment variable is the interval in which the docker container will poll the API's to check for updates, measured in minutes:

ScanInterval

Map a folder to your container for /config, and place a file in that folder called config.json. Format is:

To find your ynabBudgetId and the ynabAccountId(s) for your accounts, go to the YNAB Web Interface, select each of your accounts and look at the URL:

You can obtain the simpleFinAccountId values from the response to the /accounts SimpleFin API call.

Path is: accounts[]/id

Finally, to get the ynabPayeeId, do a manual reconciliation adjustment and then run a GET HTTP request to:

[***]<ynabBudgetId>/transactions?since_date=2024-MM-DD

Updating MM-DD for today's date. Look in the response and find your reconciliation transaction. Grab the value from the transactions[] collection, the payee_id field.
