polardbx/polardb-x

This is an all-in-one image of PolarDB-X, which contains GalaxySQL(CN), GalaxyEngine(DN) and GalaxyCDC(CDC).

To Quick Start a PoloarDB-X

Try the following command to quick start a PolarDB-X with one CN, one DN and one CDC process:

1.  mem_size default is 4096 (ie. CN/DN/CDC 4GB), recommended docker memory >= 12GB 
docker run -d --name some-polardb-x -p 8527:8527 -m 12GB polardbx/polardb-x

2.  set mem_size = 8192 (ie. CN/DN/CDC 8GB), , recommended docker memory >= 24GB 
`docker run -d --name some-polardb-x -p 8527:8527 -m 24GB --env mem_size = 8192 polardbx/polardb-x`

Wait (about 1 min) until the container is running, try the following command to connect to the PolarDB-X:

mysql -h127.0.0.1 -P8527 -upolardbx_root -p123456

To Start Developing polardbx-sql (CN)

Try the following command to start a container with one GMS&DN for CN developing:

docker run -d --name some-dn-and-gms --env mode=dev -p 4886:4886 -p 32886:32886 polardbx/polardb-x

Wait until the container is running, try the following command in the container to get the password of account my_polarx which can be used in your CN's server.properties file:

mysql -h127.0.0.1 -P4886 -uroot -padmin -D polardbx_meta_db_polardbx -e "select passwd_enc from storage_info where inst_kind=2"
