When I upgraded from Fedora 38 to Fedora 39, I was surprised to find that FreeCAD had been removed. This container allows me to run the Fedora 38 version on Fedora 39 or later.

Inside the container, there is a script called freecad-docker.sh - It's intended to be run by the host to start the container.
The basic idea is to pass the UID and GID of the running user into the container to that FreeCAD can be launched as that user, and have access to files in the host user's $HOME/freecad
