This enables us to use health checking in Kubernetes on rabbitmq instances as we need to have curl installed in order to query the endpoint on the API and get the '{{status:ok}}' returned.

you can use two images here the first one psynapse/rabbitmq:new is the lighter weight version of rabbitmq which inherits from rabbitmq:3-management image and installs curl and configures the script on the container to enable health checking.

The second image psynapse/rabbitmq is a fresh install of ubuntu:14.04 and runs a rabbitmq installation + setup with all plugins required for the API requests to work + configures the script. Ideally this image should be used if you want to customise the way rabbitmq works however if you are content with standard rabbitmq image then the first one should suffice.
