Calendar
Our forked version of Cal.com, an open-source successor to Calendly.
Purpose
One of the programs under the Youth Catalyst Foundation, FlashCampus, has a mentoring program that allows students to book and schedule sessions with these mentors. Previously, we used Calendly but the amount of control and quality we can provide is minimal as Calendly has a lot of limits on the lower tier plans.
That's where Cal.com comes in. The self-hosted version gives us full control over our events and data. Cal.com also offers many features that would otherwise be in the higher-tier plans of Calendly. Also, because of its open-source nature, we can extend and modify parts of it to fit our needs.
Configuration
We configure this fork in a similar way to the original Cal.com which is via environment variables or .env files. To run your version of this image, check out the example configuration https://github.com/YouthCatalyst/calendar/blob/main/.env.example
